This week, we will be back to normal (for the most part) now that testing is complete. In math, we will be reviewing all of our multiplication strategies and working on our fluency with facts. In writing, we will be revisiting opinion writing. During reading, we will have a special extended time where some students will be switching rooms and going to Mrs. Warren's room or Mrs. Lurie's room.
Our specials and lunch time are back to their regular times. I hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather!

We survived the first 3 days of testing! It was long, but we made it! We will finish our testing on Monday and Tuesday with science and social studies. I am emailing a file of science jeopardy questions we went through already in case your child wants a little more review before the science test on Monday. Your child also brought home his or her science/social studies notebook with items glued in that we have created throughout the year. This is another review option for you and your child. Please let me know if you have any questions about the science or social studies tests on Monday and Tuesday. Thank you so much for getting your kids to school on time this week!
After we finish testing next week, we will be doing some fun Earth Day activities. We will be planting in our garden plot on Thursday (weather-permitting). Please let me know if you are available to come help us plant on Thursday. We will be doing a conservation STEM project on Friday. I can’t wait to see how well everyone works together to create their designs.
Tomorrow is the garden work day. Please come help clean out the gardens and get them ready for planting if you are able!
As always, let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

I hope you had a great spring break! We are down to the final countdown with about 6 weeks of school left. I can’t believe it’s here already! We will be doing a lot of reviewing on Monday and Tuesday to get ready for the Georgia Milestones. There will be no homework…YAY! Here is some important info about the next 2 weeks:
Georgia Milestones Testing will take place on the following days for grades 3-5
Wednesday, April 13 English/Language Arts
Thursday, April 14 English/Language Arts
Friday, April 15 Math
Monday, April 18 Science
Tuesday, April 19 Social Studies
It is so important to make sure your child gets to school BEFORE 7:45. Please make sure your child eats a good breakfast too. If your child will be eating breakfast at school, make sure he or she has time to eat as well. Also, it is important that your child gets to bed early each night. Thank you for your help with all of these things!
We will have lunch at a different time on testing days. It will be at 11:36.
This Saturday is our garden work day. Please come out and help pull weeds and get our gardens ready for spring. Our class will be planting flowers in our garden bed near the arch by the bus port after testing is complete. If there is a parent that would like to help us plant, I would love some help!
